Her world is as tranquil as the salty sea
On a dark, calm night.
Slumber surrounds her.
Serenity.
A tiny star disturbs her dreams,
foreign Light, exotic luminosity.
Amazement awakens her.
Aroused.
She is helpless to close her eyes against
The staccato light as it swells to a beacon.
Her heart is hurried,
Heavy.
A rumble resounds and blackness returns as
The sea is drained dry.
Tranquility lost.
Quenched.
A razor sharp gust rips through her,
So as to tear out her very soul.
Her first fondness;
Pain.
Though she is Never to scream,
Never to weep,
Never to breathe,
Never to Be.
